On May 17, the third 5G+ Industrial Internet (Tianjin) Summit Forum was successfully held, co-sponsored by China Unicom, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Tianjin Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and other institutions. Zuo Shaozhou, chairman of Hongdian Corporation, was invited to attend the forum and jointly established the industry's first 5G RedCap Industrial Alliance with China Unicom, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China ICT, and other partners, and Hongdian became the first batch of enterprises to enter the alliance.

In 2021, Hongdian and China Unicom jointly established the 5G IIoT Innovation Laboratory, which is committed to continuously enriching IIoT terminals and promoting application scale. Especially in the research and development of 5G universal terminals, it has incubated a number of Yanfei 5G industrial gateways. In addition, we have carried out cooperation on ecological projects in many provinces and cities across the country. Hongdian took the lead in joining the 5G IoT OpenLab of China Unicom to carry out a number of RedCap technology research and participate in RedCap terminal testing and certification, and both sides have achieved certain research results.

On the next day, China Unicom invited representatives of leading enterprises in the industry to conduct technical capability discussion, scene application demand and commercial deployment outlook around 5G RedCap. Ding Jing, product director of Hongdian, shared the product and market strategy of Hongdian 5G RedCap terminal from the aspect of market status and industry demand. It is expected to promote the rapid and large-scale implementation of RedCap application scenarioses in the industrial, Internet of vehicles and power markets together with industrial chain ecological partners.
